Baris Gencel is a Creative Director, Brand Consultant from Cyprus. He has been living in Asia for over 19 years and He is currently based in Shanghai. He has been doing consultancy with brands such as Huawei, Burger King, Secoo, Coca Cola. Besides consultancy he also work with experiential and event agencies as a creative director as he named Guru of Experiences.
After Baris left his role with legendary Chief Creative Officer Graham Fink in the leading agency Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai, Baris had been working with WPP network remotely and started to more on focus on brand experiences, brand activations and events before He joined the one of the biggest group FOSUN China as in house Creative director to lead FOSUN’s retail and Fashion businesses.
Baris been keep pushing the boundaries of storytelling experiences with new technologies. Baris passionate in art & new media. His expertise on new technologies and Chinese mobile ecosystem and retail in China made him exceptional talent.
Baris has been the creative lead driving some of the most interesting interactive / None Interactive installations, including the creating new media lab of Gwantsi which he had created first fully immersive Amoris Lumina, immersive interactive rain forest to create awareness about nature.
